Two Dots is working to remake the way lending is done using AI, starting with real estate. Our founding team are Goldman, Google, and Blend alum, and we're always interested in talking with other extremely intelligent and hard working people.
About the role
Skills: Machine learning, Python, SQL, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Torch/PyTorchThis is a full-time in-person role in Los Angeles. The office is on the beach.
Role requirements:
1. Existent (2+ yrs) non-academic experience writing software professionally
2. Ability to improve models for key information extraction, named entity recognition and matching, text classification over semi-structured financial documents
3. Experience with active learning, HITL driven workflows, and working with large labeling and quality teams a plus
4. Carries their own weight, serviceable as a fullstack engineer
5. Open minded, creative, charismatic, and extremely hard working
6. Cares about implications of what they do, at least mild interest in economics, real estate and debt markets, issues in consumer finance

Phone Screen
This is just a quick chat to understand if we're aligned. We'll ask if you're okay with working in person in Los Angeles, your timelines, and why you're interested in working for Two Dots.
Technical Screen
We will spend 45 minutes working on a short technical challenge that the company actually faced and solved in its earliest days. This interview is mostly there to elicit how you think and communicate about the problem.
Interview Process
If we think we might be a good fit for each other, you will travel to LA for a full day with us. There will be a whiteboarding and pair coding exercise tailored to your background, along with informal discussions about how you can help the company and how we can help you grow your career.
Timing
We should be able to give you an answer within a week of your in-person interview.
