About the Role
Salient is actively seeking a Founding Applied AI Engineer with a specialization in Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our engineering team. This is an unparalleled opportunity to impact our company culture, drive innovation in AI-powered products, and make a significant contribution to our technological direction.
You Will:
- Develop and refine cutting-edge AI products with a focus on Large Language Models, enhancing the financial sector's capabilities.
- Partner closely with the founding team and clients to steer the strategic direction of our LLM initiatives.
- Display adaptability and a willingness to take on multi-faceted challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Deep understanding of and practical experience with Large Language Models such as GPT-3, BERT, or similar frameworks.
- Proven track record of implementing LLMs in real-world applications, particularly in natural language understanding, generation, and conversational AI.
- Expertise in Python and familiarity with AI/ML libraries and tools.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering best practices.
- Proficiency with version control systems, notably Git.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in a high-velocity tech or financial services environment.
- Passionate about AI with a keen interest in staying abreast of the latest LLM developments and trends.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and the ability to convey complex AI concepts to diverse audiences.
