About the role
Skills: Java, Kotlin, Node.js, TypeScriptContinue is seeking a prolific engineer with strong experience writing Kotlin/Java, Swing, or JetBrains plugins to help us build a user experience designed from first principles to feel native in JetBrains IDEs. In this role, you will take ownership of the open-source plugin by designing, building, and maintaining a product loved by many, including yourself.
About you

- You are proficient in Kotlin/Java and have either built JetBrains extensions before or are experienced in Swing
- You have a strong design sense and iterate extremely quickly on user interfaces
- You are extremely detail-oriented and care deeply about building a product that you are proud to share with others
- Your natural instinct is to jump into the code, which you can do already, since a lot of the codebase is open source
What you will do
We’re a startup, so you’ll have to be ready to do whatever is required to accomplish our mission. However, you can definitely expect to:
Play a key role in our GitHub and Discord communities by answering questions and resolving problems
Design and implement native UI for our JetBrains extension
Iterate on the smallest details to make our chat and autocomplete experiences awesome
Make contributions to core functionality such as prompts, autocomplete post-processing, and codebase retrieval
