As a Product Analyst in the Subsidized Child Care Market, you will leverage your strong analytical and communication skills to work with both Product Managers and Technical Architects in creating intuitive, easy to use, highly functional software. You will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders from product, development, QA, customer service, and sales.
What you'll do with us: - Function as a liaison between product management, development and operations.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify patterns and trends and provide insights to inform decision-making and product design.
- Work cross functionally with customers, executives, stakeholders and engineering teams to capture requirements and document technical aspects of product, interface, APIs, reports, and data features
- Drive a lean and agile development process in partnership with Product Managers: define technical features and requirements to develop a well-organized backlog and drive forward strategic initiatives, roadmap deliverables, and data driven experiments.
- Create process diagrams to visualize workflows and identify potential bottlenecks.
- Research competitor products to identify strengths and weaknesses
- Write user stories to clearly define user needs and acceptance criteria for developers
- Present findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate potential solutions based on their ability to deliver growth and the highest amount of value to our customers
- Work closely with our Engineering and Reports teams to incorporate technical feedback early and often
- Develop and maintain a library of standard tools and templates to support data analysis, requirements gathering, and technical documentation.
- Define and own the measurable success metrics and Key Results for your initiatives; prioritize product development against those metrics
Skills and traits that will grant you success at KinderSystems are:
- 2-5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in a SaaS/Product/Technology environment
- A collaborative approach to problem solving and execution
- Ability to dive deep into data and have the tenacity to get to the nuances that may be included in customer data
- Prior experience collaborating with software architects to analyze and document technical details, including:
- REST-based APIs
- Data flows, schemas, database design, and relational and NoSQL database architectures and storage
- Modern client-server technology (e.g. React/Node, ASP.NET)
- Cloud-based technology, serverless computing, message queuing and event-driven design
Familiarity with:- Modern reporting solutions / BI solutions
- Security best practices (e.g. OWASP top ten)
- IT system environments/platforms and development tools
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey data to audiences with varying technical skill and/or market knowledge
- Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with state and local government or education customers is a plus
- Prior experience with understanding and interpretation of legislative and regulatory statutes is a nice to have
