We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Network Operations Analyst. In this role, the successful Lead Analyst will be a member of MCIT Service Management team, reporting to the Enterprise Network Operations Center Manager (eNOC) and will be part of larger Medical Center Data Center Operations team. Analyst will ensure availability of all Medical Center IT systems at all times, by ensuring teams are engaged timely manner via documented procedures and escalation while working collaboratively to resolve all incidents following ITIL best practices.

Lead and mentor a team of NOC analysts, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
Respond to all incidents and outages promptly, coordinating resolution efforts with internal teams and third-party vendors.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement network upgrades, expansions, and improvements.
Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
Ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards.
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for network emergencies.
Monitor network performance and identify anomalies or issues in real-time.
Implement and maintain monitoring tools and alerting systems.
Perform basic systems testing and operational tasks (installation of patches, network connectivity testing, script execution, daily operational checks, etc.)
Create Problem Records, for recurring Major Incidents and follow up
Perform root cause analysis techniques with Subject Matter Experts who own the incident
Engage and manage multiple technical resources to troubleshoot complex issues.
Follow MCIT processes defined for Incident, Change, Event, Problem Management and other related processes.
Performing all follow up to track and close any open action items.
NYU teams may engage vendors and industry partners for escalation.
Facilitating and tracking Service Restoration activities for outages in a timely fashion until resolution.
Escalate to NYU teams to inform of an Incident requiring escalation.
Work with various NYUMC IT Application and Infrastructure teams.
Provide escalation support for Major Incidents/Problems – for all NYULMC systems.
And any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School diploma or GED. 1 – 2 years Relevant IT experience. Strong communication (both oral and written), data reporting, detail orientation, organizational, analytical, customer service, Strong analytical, evaluative, problem-solving and multitasking skills. Possess an aptitude of foresight to anticipate user needs or system issues and proactively provide solutions. Ability to use, teach and troubleshoot current Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word). Ability to work in a flexible, dynamic and fast-paced working environment. Self-motivated and directed with the ability to set and manage priorities judiciously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in science/computer science/engineering and/or a life sciences discipline is desirable.
The applicant must have at least 5 years experience in the Information Technology field and specifically at minimum with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity, preferably in a NOC environment.
Proven experience in a NOC or network operations role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are a plus.
ITIL v3 Foundations certification preferred.
Experience with hands-on implementation of ITIL best practices a plus.
B.S. or equivalent degree in information services, engineering, science or related field required.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
Proficiency in network monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Grafana, Nagios, SolarWinds).
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, strong leadership and team management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
The applicant must be a team player that will help create a positive team environment and has the proven ability to multitask and work on a variety of priorities.
Experience working in or supporting a large enterprise environment with basic understanding of enterprise server/storage/backup/DB/Application solutions a plus.
The applicant must be able to follow documented process and procedures, and provide feedback for enhancement if needed.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 – $119,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
