IT Systems Administrator, you will be a member of our global IT Infrastructure team. You will partner with colleagues across all of our sites and in many different functions to improve, manage, maintain, implement, and replace critical IT systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:System Maintenance and Support:- Manage, monitor, and maintain servers, networks, and IT systems.
- Ensure system availability and performance through regular updates, patch management, and backups.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
Network Administration:- Demonstrate a conceptual understanding of LAN, WAN, VPNs, and wireless networks.
- Support efforts to ensure optimal performance and security by collaborating with network specialists.
User Support and Training:- Provide technical support to employees, including troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues.
- Conduct user training sessions to improve system utilization and cybersecurity awareness.
Security Management:- Implement and manage security policies, firewalls, and antivirus solutions.
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents.
Cloud and Virtualization Management:- Administer cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Optimize resources and ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions.
Database Administration:- Manage and maintain databases, including SQL and MySQL environments.
- Ensure database performance, availability, and security through regular monitoring and optimization.
- Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to design and implement database solutions.
Audit and Compliance:- Prepare for and respond to IT audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and evidence for audit readiness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and maintain compliance with industry standards such as GMP, NIS2, GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
Documentation:- Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
- Develop and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Collaboration:- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement and support.
- Assist with IT-related projects, such as system upgrades and new technology implementations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:- BS/BA degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience. Equivalent education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Conceptual understanding of network management principles (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
- Familiarity with virtualization tools (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, SCVMM) and cloud platforms.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Cisco CCNA. Preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and principles.
COMPENSATION: $83,920 - $115,390
