Monex USA is looking for a bright, skilled, and highly motivated
Systems Administrator to support our internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft 365 and desktop administration. You will collaborate closely with our IT team to control, maintain, and ensure the smooth operation of Monex computer systems and networks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of Monex and help evolve our US and global systems architecture.
Responsibilities - Cross-Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient, available, and secure technology solutions.
- Ticket Management & Support:
- Respond to all Jitbit support tickets in a timely manner, ensuring that issues are resolved efficiently across all offices. Prioritize, track, and escalate tickets as needed to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure that all team members receive prompt support.
- Hardware & Software Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, ensuring optimal performance and compatibility.
- Microsoft 365 Administration:
- Oversee the Microsoft 365 environment, including user provisioning, license management, email configuration, and troubleshooting for Office 365 applications such as Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Networking Administration:
- Configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN), and proactively address connectivity and performance issues.
- System & Network Monitoring:
- Continuously monitor system and network performance, implementing upgrades and optimizations to enhance reliability and security.
- Hardware Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues across desktops, laptops, servers, and peripheral devices to minimize downtime.
- Security Implementation:
- Enforce security measures to protect against cyber threats, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and internal policies.
- User & Data Management:
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and backups, ensuring data integrity, availability, and secure access.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Work and collaborate closely with IT vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and support technology initiatives.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
- Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation, including articles, guides, and troubleshooting steps, to support team members and end-users. Regularly update knowledge bases to reflect changes in systems, software, and processes.
- Learning & Mastering 3rd Party Software:
- Continuously expand knowledge of third-party software platforms (such as Salesforce, Workday, and Firewall management) to support system administration and troubleshooting. Stay up-to-date with software changes and implement new tools effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in Systems Administration or similar IT support roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and related technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and support.
- Excellent analytical abilities with a proven track record in troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Meticulous in approach, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to best practices.
Desired Skills and Experience - Experience within the financial services industry, especially in foreign exchange, core banking, or payments, is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jitbit, Jira, or similar software for tracking technical issues.
- Experience with security assessments and performance testing to proactively address vulnerabilities.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is highly valued.
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft 365, networking (e.g., CCNA), or hardware support are advantageous. Additionally, A+, Security + and Networking+ certifications.
Key Interfaces - Collaborate with all Monex USA internal staff to support technology needs and initiatives.
- Engage with external IT vendors and clients to ensure robust support and continuous improvement of IT services.
Compensation- Salary is commensurate with experience. The annual salary range is $90,000 to $110,000 plus a quarterly bonus.
