The winning candidate has a passion for data analytics, statistics, and visualization. She/he will use data analysis and visualization tools and methodologies to provide insights to business owners, finance, and management stakeholders, including C-suite. She/he will work across the company, showcasing strong interpersonal and outstanding written, visualization, and verbal communication skills.Winning candidate will: Participate in the design, development and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. used to drive key business decisions.Work within controls to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality of all managerial and business intelligence reports, views, dashboards, and user data.Work and understand various data source, business process and systems.Analyze and interpret data, create what if simulator, regression, and various analytics model.Work with others in the development of data warehouses and other data sources to support managerial and business intelligence reporting needs.Winning candidate needs: Qualified candidates will be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Business or related majorsStudents must be passionate about data, visualization, data science and statisticCreativity, strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, strong analytical skills and self-learningAbility to work in a team and to work independentlyStrong English oral and written communication skills, high attention to detailOutstanding proficiency in Excel, Tableau, Data Science Techniques, and modelingNice to have: Understanding of Database and Data Warehouse Basics, Hadoop, SQL Server DB, SparkVisualization and UI/UX experienceWhat to expect:Work is in person, on site in Santa Clara, CAQualificationsEducation:Skills:Certifications:Languages:Years of Experience:Work Experience:Additional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Intern / StudentTravel:NoRelocation Eligible:NoApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
