The Investment Associate will be primarily focused on underwriting, executing, and monitoring investments in public and private structured products and asset backed finance, macro and market research, performance analysis, and portfolio strategy. This role sits within ICONIQ’s Investment Strategy Group (ISG) which is responsible for leading all investment activity within ICONIQ’s Investment Management platform. ISG’s investment focus spans public and private assets globally, including private equity, venture capital, private credit, real estate, real assets, special situations, public credit, public equity, and hedging-oriented strategies.
What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate, execute, and monitor investments into structured products and asset backed finance managers, origination platforms, co-investments, direct investments, and secondaries.
- Create investment memoranda to present analysis and recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Build financial models to analyze new investments and monitor existing portfolio.
- Drive improvements in the sourcing, due diligence, and investment monitoring process.
- Contribute to broader portfolio strategy.
- Collaborate with investment operations to monitor and execute investments.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- Minimum three years of experience in a relevant buy-side or sell-side role.
- Passion for investing.
- Understanding of investment principles, corporate finance, structured products, and capital markets.
- Team player with a strong work ethic, high integrity, and desire to learn.
- Strong financial modeling (Excel, Intex, Python, etc.) and presentation skills (PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation Range: ICONIQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At ICONIQ, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation terms. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $130,000 – $150,000 together with the benefits listed above.
