Your Role

As a Developer Relations Evangelist, you will be the primary advocate for Gravity, working to build and nurture a community of developers, contributors, and users. You will create awareness, foster engagement, and help others understand the value of Gravity Chain. This role combines technical expertise with community-building skills, providing a unique opportunity to drive adoption and support for Gravity while working closely with the Galxe team.

Your Responsibilities

Community Building: Participate in the Gravity ecosystem and community to organize community events, such as hackathons, conferences, and meetups, to build connections and drive collaboration within the Gravity ecosystem.
Community Engagement: Engage with developers, contributors, and users to foster a vibrant community, addressing their questions, gathering feedback, and providing technical guidance.
Content Creation: Support Gravity’s engineering team’s progress and development into simple concepts for a global community Telegram Channel, Discord server, Twitter + Medium Blogs, and YouTube explainer videos. Host regular video sessions explaining recent changes, progress, and why they are essential, with an ability to highlight the most positive aspects of each.
Developer Engagement: Promote Gravity Chain through speaking opportunities, webinars, blog posts, and social media, sharing the value and capabilities of Gravity with the broader tech community. Host regular video sessions explaining significant changes and progress, with an ability to highlight the most positive aspects of each. Serve as a liaison between Gravity Chain and other open-source communities to establish partnerships and collaborative opportunities.
Internal collaboration: Work with Gravity development team to advocate for the needs and interests of the Gravity community, influencing product direction and feature development. Share feedback from the developer community and help Gravity improve the product for these purposes. Create and manage developer resources, including tutorials, documentation, and code samples, to facilitate engagement and ease of adoption.

Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of experience in in developer relations, developer education, and technical writing.
Communication Skills: Excellent English skills, both speaking and writing capabilities. Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences through speaking and writing (Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus).
Community Engagement: Experience in community engagement with a history of building relationships in open-source or developer communities. Proficiency with social media platforms, content creation, and tools for community management.
Adaptability: Ability to design initiatives, strategies, and events with a focus on community engagement and growth without constant supervision.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze community metrics and make data-driven decisions. Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
Social: Strong network and social presence (e.g. Twitter, YouTube, forums) within the blockchain community and connection with influencers (ideally 10~15K followers or more).

Knowledge:

Experience helping developers and/or building a product as a developer.
Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, community members, and ecosystem partners.
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and developer relations best practices to improve our approach continuously.
Monitor and Interact with developers across major social channels, such as forums, GitHub, Discord servers, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Slack, Telegram, and more.
Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or active participation in the blockchain community.
