EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible
PRIMARY PURPOSE: - This position is responsible for maintenance, repairs, innovations, and improvements that ensure the reliability and performance of the district's network.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: - Palo Alto Firewalls
- Network Security
- Cisco iOS
- Dlink OS
- Network Access Control solutions
- Project Management
EXPERIENCE: - Engineering/Implementation of new Layer 2/3 networks
- Engineering of new firewall, NAC, wireless Installations.
- At least 2 years' experience with environments listed in special skills section.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: - Managing the district's firewalls, core routing, and switching
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Ability to work in an high-pressure environment while maintaining high degree of professionalism
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
- Able to solve complex problems with tight deadlines
- Communicating well in both oral and written form, complying with timelines
Physical demands/environmental factors:
- Reaching with hands and arms and frequently repeating the same hand, arm, or finger motion
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift 60 pounds.
- Seeing close work such as typed or handwritten material
