DescriptionThe incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Manager of Core Systems. The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to data extraction and correlation to business needs. Report design and generation. Creation of data extracts for third party interfaces. Setup, implementation, and maintenance of the credit union’s main and secondary computer processing systems. The incumbent must have excellent organization skills, good attention to detail, an ability to follow written instructions and documentation, and good problem-solving ability. Must work toward possessing strong skills in XML and Java languages. Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibility for core systems document integration via Symform PDF and PowerFrame Docs.Assist in systems monitoring in effort to maximize availability.Assist in processing schedule design and maintenance using SMA Opcon as well as Windows Task Scheduler.Monitor and assist scheduled jobs and file transfers in both hosted and local SMA OpCon as neededAssist in diagnostics of member issues.Develop and schedule of reports and queries as required by all business departments.Assist in management of Synergy document imaging archive and retrieval system.Monitor Symitar related URLs, blogs, email threads, etc. for possible fixes or enhancements. Make recommendations for consideration.Maintain documentation of maintenance and maintenance testing.Assist in configuration and support of ARCU.Provide 24-hour support via paging system as assigned.Perform off-hour system maintenance and special processing duties as assigned.Assist with configuration of consoles, ancillary devices, SymXchange, and other interfaces with core systems.Assist with testing of front-end applications.Assist as necessary in help desk and end user support.Adhere to First New York information security polices and procedure in the execution of duties.Other duties as assigned.RequirementsMust be proficient in Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL and general database structures and relationships. Minimum of an Associate’s degree in computer technology or 3 years of related experience.Credit Union or other financial institution experience preferred. Must be able to respect confidential information.Must have good verbal and written communications skills.Must work independently.Work Schedule Mon. – Fri. 8:15am – 5:00pm (Additional hours as required for on-call duty and system maintenance)
