We invite you to explore the opportunity to join us and grow your career with us.**There is location flexibility with this role.Role SummaryPerform fundamental analysis of digital assets (major blockchains and ecosystems) to identify the key trends and the best-positioned protocols and assets, developing robust models and providing thoughtful analysis.Write and publish research across a range of relevant areas, such as protocol specific research, economic and market related analysis, Tokenomics, and broader thematic research on crypto sectors, ecosystems and developing trends. Generate and disseminate rigorous, insightful and actionable investment research and communicate recommendations within the firm.Utilize on-chain, market data, and blending Tokenomics with traditional financial modeling skills to initiate and maintain coverage of specific digital assets / protocols. Develop and maintain data models and dashboards, publishing key metrics, data focused reports and analysis.Collaborate with the Digital Assets team and across the organization to drive the firm’s Digital Assets Strategy, from building institutional knowledge to collaborating on operational and investment objectives and implementation.ResponsibilitiesConducts and publishes primary research on major public blockchains and digital assets at the asset and sector/ecosystem level (i.e. L1s / L2s, DePin, Gaming, DeFi, etc.) by researching, modeling Tokenomics, analyzing onchain & market data, interviewing founder/ecosystem teams and industry experts to gain a deep understanding of leading protocols within the industry. Develop and maintain data models and dashboards, publishing key metrics, data focused reports and analysis.Leverage on-chain data to track key indicators and metrics, highlighting developing trends.Presents well-supported, fully developed investment ideas and makes recommendations to Portfolio Managers to buy/sell specific tokens that the Analyst feels will positively impact the performance of the portfolio. This requires good judgment on the part of the Analyst and the ability to clearly articulate the risk/reward payoff of the recommendation.Effectively follows up when a buy/sell has been executed on a recommendation made by the Analyst. This requires the Analyst to provide constant feedback on all meaningful changes in the “story” of the token to ensure adequate information to make future decisions on the token.Collaborates with the rest of the Digital Assets team to advance on-chain investment capabilities, contributing to the development of the firm’s on-chain operational and trading activities.Contribute to building and enhancing institutional knowledge across the firm.QualificationsRequired:At least 5+ years of buy side and/or sell side investment research analyst experienceSkills in technical research, data science, financial analysis and modelingStrong, existing knowledge of crypto assets and marketsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely to a non-technical audienceStrong writing skillsStrong quantitative skillsPreferred:Programming skill in at least one programming language, such as R or Python, and/or SQL is preferredFamiliarity and experience using tools for API data, and familiarity and comfort using crypto-related on-chain dataCollaborative and communicative, understanding that this rapidly evolving space involves wearing many hats and tackling problems outside your comfort zone to help the team succeedLevel of maturity and judgment which gives confidence in stressful situationsDetail oriented, rigorously accurateCompetitive natureAcademic excellenceFINRA RequirementsFINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.
