Axalta is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Data Scientist and Analyst to join our team in Glen Mills, PA.The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with SAP BW and HANA data, as well as proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Spark. You will play a critical role in extracting, modeling, and analyzing supply chain data, leveraging both technical expertise and business knowledge to deliver insights and drive data-driven decision-making. Your focus will be on connecting SAP data with Power BI to create meaningful reports, dashboards, and analytical models that support supply chain operations.As a Supply Chain Data Scientist and Analyst, you will perform:Data Extraction & Integration: Work with SAP BW and HANA data sources, including importing data into Power BI and creating seamless data connections.SAP Navigation & Expertise: Utilize the SAP GUI to navigate supply chain transactions and analyze relevant SAP tables.Data Modeling & Analysis: Build and maintain data models in Power BI, utilizing the tabular data model (semantic layer) for advanced reporting.DAX & Power BI Development: Write and optimize DAX code to create dynamic Power BI reports and dashboards that visualize key supply chain metrics.Database & Querying: Work with SQL databases to write and optimize T-SQL queries, managing data import, transformation, and analysis tasks.Supply Chain Analytics: Apply a deep understanding of supply chain concepts (e.g., procurement, inventory management, production planning) to analyze data and generate actionable insights.Data Engineering: Utilize Spark notebooks and data engineering techniques to manipulate large datasets and perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.Collaboration & Reporting: Work cross-functionally with supply chain and IT teams to understand data needs and deliver meaningful insights that support business goals.Requirements:Required:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.3+ years of experience working with SAP data (BW, HANA) and integrating it with Power BI.Proficiency in navigating SAP GUI for supply chain transactions and analyzing relevant SAP tables.Strong experience in Power BI report development, DAX coding, and tabular data modeling.Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL, with experience in querying databases for data extraction and transformation.Hands-on experience with Spark notebooks for data engineering and large-scale data manipulation.Solid understanding of supply chain concepts, especially within the SAP ecosystem (e.g., material management, production, procurement, logistics).Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.Preferred:Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse Analytics.Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data modeling and ETL processes.Previous experience in machine learning or advanced analytics applied to supply chain management.Our Company:Axalta has remained at the forefront of the coatings industry by continually investing in innovative solutions.
