Scope of Position The intern will support the development and application of advanced technologies. The intern will write and modify Python-based applications, conduct experiments, and develop techniques for leveraging unstructured knowledge in a structured and accurate fashion. The intern will be responsible for interpreting experimental data, comparing results with existing literature, and presenting a final report. Day to Day Responsibilities The intern will oversee performing suitable background literature searches and executing a research plan. Document the results of the research by the end of the summer and give a final presentation of project outputs. Learn new techniques and methods as needed to support the project objectives. Assist in the design of experiments, communicate observations, perform related measurements, collect, and summarize data. Write and modify Python-based applications to support research objectives. Experiences/Education - Required Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Ceramic Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a similar discipline. Required Skills Proficiency in Python programming and experience with AI/ML frameworks. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
