We are seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Counsel to join our growing team in either our San Francisco or Los Angeles office. This role is designed for a seasoned litigator who enjoys mentorship and team leadership. As part of our continued expansion, we’ve elevated this position to a Counsel-level opportunity, rather than a traditional Associate role, to support team development and case leadership.

Internal promotion and team restructuring created an opportunity to shift the focus from an Associate to a more senior, mentoring Counsel.
Ongoing growth in the Labor & Employment practice has driven the need for an experienced leader to guide junior attorneys.

Team Overview

Los Angeles Office: 14 attorneys on the Labor & Employment team
San Francisco Office: 10 attorneys on the Labor & Employment team

Role Responsibilities

Manage and lead a litigation-heavy caseload with a strong emphasis on PAGA and class action matters
Provide occasional advisory support, including drafting handbooks and workplace policies
Mentor junior attorneys, providing feedback, support, and development
Work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team
Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and potentially trial (trial experience is a plus but not required)

Candidate Profile

Minimum of 7–10 years of relevant Labor & Employment litigation experience
Ability to manage cases independently, including strategy, client communications, and filings
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, approachable, and team-oriented mindset
Enjoys mentoring and developing junior attorneys
Patience, professionalism, and a solutions-driven approach

Work Schedule

Standard office hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Flexibility available for earlier or later start times
Primarily onsite due to mentoring responsibilities
