Portico is revolutionizing the property technology ecosystem for real estate developers and property managers. You’ll be joining a small, product-focused software team in building the next generation of property management software that currently empowers 24/7 operations in 22 buildings with 12,000+ units. Our team is currently incubated within one of the major owner-operators of luxury real estate assets in New York – providing unique resources and customer access.

Our team is composed of collaborative generalists who love solving problems for our end users. We regularly meet users where they are, learn about their problems and solve them iteratively together. We believe this tight feedback loop and deep empathy is key to our product, to our users, and to us.

All engineers are capable across the entire stack (backend, frontend), with some also specialty in IaC/DevOps, mobile, UI/UX. We have a strong collaborative culture, focused on maintainability, UX, and getting things right through iteration and discussion. We don’t expect you to know everything we use, but you should have full-stack experience and a strong software engineering background.

What you’ll do:

· Define features from end-to-end, from problem definition to user validation

· Implement features across the stack, in React/JS + Django/Python, autonomously,

· Continuously improve our engineering practices, e.g., tools, processes, capabilities, systems

· Assist in defining the roadmap of our team, product, and company

· As part of a team, deliver on implementation projects to onboard customers

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience

· Startup experience

· 2+ years of full-stack engineering experience

· Proven ability to pick up new skills, communicate clearly and collaborate in a team

· Able to empathize with users to understand their needs

· Able conceptualize needs into product features vs. one-off asks

Compensation

· $110,000 - $135,000 based on experience
