Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

About CLATA:

The Chicago Latino Theater Alliance (CLATA) is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This position will support the Marketing team in creating and executing strategic marketing initiatives that drive audience engagement and increase revenue for our theatrical productions and events. The Marketing Coordinator will also help maintain CLATA’s brand voice across all platforms, ensuring consistent and effective communication. This role involves a mix of content creation, digital strategy, brand management, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Accountable to: Executive Director

Content Creation and Campaign Management (40%)

Collaborate with the project manager to draft and maintain content calendars.
Write and update content for CLATA’s social media, website, and email campaigns.
Assist in creating and executing advertising campaigns, including radio, direct mail, billboards, and digital ads.
Manage program edits for key productions such as the Chicago International Latino Theater Festival.
Develop and implement email marketing campaigns, from concept to execution, focusing on clear objectives and audience engagement.
Continuously edit, proofread, and enhance marketing content for accuracy and effectiveness.

Strategic Planning and Brand Management (20%)

Assist in developing and executing CLATA’s brand strategy to support ticket revenue and engagement goals.
Maintain a strong, consistent brand voice across all digital and print media.
Execute social media and digital marketing strategies to reflect CLATA’s mission and engage a diverse audience.
Work cross-departmentally to support brand awareness, audience growth, and sales initiatives.

Collaboration and Project Management (20%)

Coordinate with the design team to create brochures, ads, programs, and other promotional materials.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless distribution of marketing materials and communication.
Oversee signage installation and event promotional setups.
Provide marketing support for CLATA’s onstage productions and special events.
Manage relationships with print contractors and other external vendors.

Administration and Reporting (15%)

Track and manage budgets for department projects and marketing initiatives.
Coordinate the printing and distribution of marketing materials for events and campaigns.
Prepare reports on marketing performance, analyzing metrics to measure campaign success.
Maintain a directory of marketing and design assets, ensuring that all resources are current and aligned with CLATA’s brand guidelines.

Additional Support (5%)

Provide day-to-day assistance to the marketing team and other departments as needed.
Take on ad-hoc marketing projects and initiatives to further CLATA’s mission.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field or a proven track record that demonstrates experience in marketing.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in marketing, with an emphasis on digital strategy, content creation, or event marketing. Experience in arts, culture, or nonprofit sectors is a plus.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact), website management (e.g., WordPress), and basic graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
Project Management: Experience in managing marketing projects from conception to completion. Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams.
Communication: Strong English and Spanish writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail. Someone who is bilingual and bicultural is ideal for this position.
Creativity: Ability to create engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences, particularly within the Latino community.
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and external vendors.
Cultural Competence: Passion for Latino arts and culture with an understanding of the diverse communities CLATA serves.

Compensation

$25 per hour, 25 to 30 hours per week
