The Web organization delivers compelling experiences via browser to millions of businesses using Square today, and millions more considering it. Managing a business and selling online can be complex, and we've committed to tackling that complexity on behalf of our sellers, to give time back.

At Square, the Food and Beverage team delivers innovative solutions to help restaurants and food businesses of all types and sizes succeed. Managing a restaurant can be challenging, and we're dedicated to simplifying that complexity to give time back to our sellers.

From the cozy corner café to the growing multi-location restaurant chain, Square empowers Food and Beverage sellers with the tools they need to streamline operations, manage staff, and serve their customers. Our team is focused on equipping food businesses to thrive whether they are serving in-house, offering online orders, or expanding to delivery platforms. We offer intuitive, cross-platform software solutions-seamlessly integrated with our hardware and backed by reliable services-so sellers can focus on what they do best.

We are looking for a product-focused frontend software engineer to join our Food and Beverage Web team. You'll work cross-platform with Mobile and Backend engineering teams to design, build, and ship features across our Point of Sale clients on iOS and Android and our seller-facing tools on the web. You'll collaborate closely with Product and Design to build features that simplify complex workflows, helping sellers save time, reduce stress, and focus on delivering great food and service.

You Will

Build frontend interfaces that support remarkable product experiences which are crucial to the Square onboarding process around the world
Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to design, build, and iterate on world-class product experiences, defining product scope and design
Hold yourself, and your teammates accountable to the standards of engineering and ethics that enables Square to safely move billions of dollars in payments and allow our customers to trust us with their sensitive data

You Have

3+ years of industry experience with a BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Programming depth with JavaScript
Great communication skills and an ability to work cross-functionally
An openness to collaboration and willingness to grow as an engineer
A sense of customer empathy and desire to influence the product direction
Understanding and curiosity in creating well thought out, scalable, low-latency, global systems
